Chelsea Flower Show wows once again
I awoke to my first day in London and the morning was gloriously warm and sunny for a visit to the famous Chelsea Flower Show.
After a stroll through the streets of Chelsea, where incredible floral displays adorned the shop fronts, we joined the crowd that wandered through the colourful and fragrant surroundings. All around were people wearing their best floral outfits, enjoying Pimms and champagne while they marvelled at the delights on show.
Dark velvety poppies, glamorous peonies and majestic lupins were a popular feature in many of the gardens. Fake grass animals were a big hit with the crowd - so much easier to manage than topiary! It was great to see so much wildlife-friendly planting in the displays, the flowers were covered in honey bees and bumblebees enjoying the bountiful nectar.
The displays were of course stunning and there was inspiration galore. The incredible selection of garden sculptures provided something for every garden style imaginable.
Here is a slideshow of some of my favourite moments from the show.
